What we provide
Colebridge Enterprises is a light assembly social enterprise, set-up by registered charity, The Colebridge Trust.
We provide businesses with an outsourcing service on component assembly, finishing, tabbing, tagging, labelling and packing. In doing this we provide paid supported employment, including for previously long-term unemployed people. Our operation is ISO 9001-2015 certified, in recognition of the assurance requirements of many of our customers.
Our work is charged and delivered upon a commercial basis. As with any other industrial unit operation, we have overheads which include utilities, equipment, maintenance, health & safety, audits, management , accountancy, rent, rates and labour. Our intervention work, including mentoring and health & wellbeing is part grant-funded from independent grant-making trusts.
Sectors we’ve worked in
About us
The old 80:20 rule also applies to many businesses. 20% of your production taking up 80% of your space and time. Those small jobs that have to be done but add little value to your business. That’s where we can help. What’s noise in your system can be music to your ears and your breadcrumbs could be our banquet. So why not outsource this work to us so you can focus on the activity that adds most to your bottom line.
It is a win-win proposition for everyone. You get the services your business needs plus the opportunity to provide work for people who would otherwise find it very difficult to find paid jobs. It costs you nothing extra.
We get a sustainable business that supports the people we feel passionate about supporting.
Our learning disabled employees get the satisfaction of knowing they are making a valuable contribution to society and have greater financial independence.
Our Social Mission
Around half our workforce has a learning disability or difficulty. However, we have an inclusive workforce that also includes lone parent, over 50’s and people with long-term health conditions; groups often marginalised from employment opportunities.
Our work with young people is largely centred around those with additional needs and we work with specialist schools and colleges.
