Pre - Manufacturing Design Service
We offer an in-house design service charged at a fixed hourly rate. This covers both 2D and 3D design in order to help develop your ideas into a product whether that is a keyring or a piece of furniture.
Laser Engraving and Cutting
Our lasers can cut and engrave a wide range of materials from cloth to oak. We work with woods, laminates and acrylics to create custom products such as medals, trophies and signage. We are also happy to engrave artwork, logos and text to personalise your existing items.
CNC Routing
Our computer-controlled router is ideal for precision-cutting signage, production batches from sheet material and larger items than our lasers have capacity for.
Traditional Woodworking
We have a fully equipped wood workshop with the facility to manufacture and finish a wide range of products, from one off bespoke items to small batch production runs.
We are happy to take on a range of woodworking projects, past work has included oak notice boards, furniture, shop fittings, decorations, etc.
Scannable products with NFC and QR codes
We can create a range of items that are automatically readable by mobile devices. These can be programmed to automate a wide variety of tasks such as connecting to WiFi, opening websites, sending emails and displaying menus.

About us
Training and Volunteering
We are about more than just profit; everything we do supports people in our community to make a change. We build confidence and practical skills for life and work.
Our Social Mission
The Workshop Aberfeldy was set up by Paul Parmenter and Gina Wallace in June 2014, becoming an independent charity in 2016.
Our aim was to create a bridge between education and employment for young people in Highland Perthshire, where our rural location can limit employment and training opportunities. We wanted to create a genuine business where young people could gain direct practical skills as well as transferable employability skills such as teamwork and time-keeping, empowering them to successfully find employment or further training.
Our Impact
90 Individuals got work experience
over 20,000 hours of free training and work experience to 90 individuals, creating jobs in our local community, and working in partnerships with schools, support services and businesses. We are so proud of everything that our disadvantaged and young people have achieved throughout this time.
